Clinical Fellow
The University Center for Development of Language and Literacy
(UCLL) is currently accepting applications for a full-time Clinical
Fellow in Speech-Language Pathology to work in its nationally
recognized University of Michigan Aphasia Program (UMAP) and
children’s language and literacy programs to provide the
following:
- Diagnostic and therapeutic intervention to adults with
aphasia and apraxia and/or children with language/literacy
disorders.
- Prepare and disseminate meaningful reports.
- Participate in client staffings with an exceptional team of
SLPs.
- Also participate in consultation with families, school or
other professionals.
- Assist in research programs.
Supervision received will meet ASHA requirements for completion
of fellowship year.
Position requirements include Master’s degree in Speech-Language
Pathology. Candidate will be working with adults with
neurological-based disorders, particularly aphasia; and/or with
children with language/literacy disorders. Ideal candidate must
have excellent oral communication, proficient organizational, time
management, and writing skills. Also strong interpersonal skills
and the ability work in a team environment. Having an interest and
a passion to provide language intervention services across the
lifespan a plus.
